Blog is very common term for SEO (Search engine optimization) because it’s a easy way to promote the concept of a website and gain back links to the site. Usually blogs contain small details or news about the website so that the reader cans easily understand and get interested and hopefully visit the website. Some popular blog sites are wordless, blog.com etc. but posting a blog requires a lot of English writing skill as the blogs should be very attractive and interesting to read.

You can use a blog to get a new site ranked quickly and ahead of your main site if you are dedicated to posting on a frequent basis, SEO blogging is all about informing first and then leading to a sale. I think that SEO blogging is quite a reasonable way to advertise, often you can do this yourself.
