"kick" is a very interesting word and has many meanings, including slang!
In that video I didn'd find "kick it", but found "kickin" ("kickin in") with the explanation what that means

It does mean that, to relax, but we never use it that way. When we say kick it, we mean to go faster. It, for us, probably comes from kick it up a notch, which probably means take it to the next level or the next higher gear.
